some I trusted before I met and subsequent meeting backed up my initital thoughts.

Others I wondered what I was doing when I met them in the real world - totally different - and not in a good way.

Yes it can be hard to trust those over the net and I understand at the moment I am asking people to put their trust in me, only thing I can do is prove to them that their trust has not been misplaced.

I know I am trustworthy ,but how does anyone one here really know.My daughter is always having a go at me and saying I could be talking to a load of loonies!!! Her words not mine.
It's true when you think about it.We just need to be careful and if someone tries to cause upset,we take it all with a pinch of salt and try to ignore them.

earlier in this thread Ros said she'd met me and I was ok...fantastic compliment which I appreciate.

However, Jax and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of issues and from a postion of friendship and trust we went to one of animosity and are now slowing learning to respect each other opinions (I hope). But it will be a long process if it even though it has got past the initial stage of us now being civil to each other.

Jax if you have any objections to what I've just said let me know and I'll delete.

The main part of what you said is that we can now be civil with each other and respect each others opinions, which is a damn good start in my book

But anyway I think the main part of our problems are we are both redheads ;o)

Difficult one really, can you trust a cyber friend ? I think you have to go with instincts. I think as in real life with new friends there will be those who prove your trust was worthwhile and those who let you down badly. Like Barbara said when those you put your trust in let you down just don't dwell on it, move on. (complete with armour lol ).
