if the three young men I saw shopping in Sainsburys were anything to go by! They had two trolleys and a lot of fresh fruit and veg were in them - (their Mummies would have been proud of them) I seemed to keep passing them - they also discussed the merits of various fizzy drinks but decided to take the sugar free! However as they passed me going in opposite direction for the last time, I collapsed laughing over my trolley - OH caught up and wanted to know what on earth was funny. I overheard one young man say 'how for the serious stuff where is the family planning counter'!!!!!!!! Do not worry Mums - they are eating and drinking healthily (hope they have not found Students Union) and indulging (or hoping to indulge) in safe sex!!!!

I suggested that if they have Tesco and put in a group order they could get it delivered free. But I think at the mo they will just enjoy doing it themselves.
Kemp I would n'tdare ask what was for afters. He would probably take it the wrong way anyway!!!!!!!!

Marianne - my g.dau graduated this summer and it was me she came to for food parcels and each Sept she went back with 2 boxes of basics and tins - never asked her mother!!!!!! Each time she came home popped round and raided freezer for home baking to take back. Now she is working nothing has changed there are jars of jam/chutney/marmalade/pickles/beetroot waiting for her. She cannot have any baking until my wrist heals!!!!

Someone want to send me a food parcel....I am a poor student!! 2 of us living at home are in Uni and my son is at Uni in the UK..... Dont know if you could send a food parcel big enough tho for everyone in this house!!

Taff, Helen,

My sons grant got sorted this year and now he has money, thankfully and not living off noodles and beer anymore! Mind you I expect the beer still plays a part. I was lucky as I managed to get onto a manager in the loans/grants dept and she had my letter explaining his circumstances in depth. She was great and even sorted out his grant appeal for 2007-2008. Thankfully now he has that money ans this years money is starting to come in now.

So, anyway, food parcels????

lol

love Theresa
