Need inspiration......My niece is expecting twin girls in December, After discussing namesakes I said I would give her two names a day, rapidly running out of names, any suggestions?

Nice suggestion, I'm named after my Gr Grandmother and my sister after our gr gr Grandmother, haven't managed to get further back in our tree yet, only started out about four weeks ago, be nice to uncover a few more before December thou.

Thanks Heather,Yeah my gr grandfather hailed from the green isle, I think.

Thanks once again Blue, will have to print that off for her.

Remember, while some names might seem cute to us (ie holly & ivy or noelle & carol) kids can be cruel and they'll have to go through school with those name. Also, learning from my brothers who both had the same initials DJT it was a nightmare when it came to getting letters.

I like the idea of reusing family names, or feminising male family names. I discovered that Hannah in my mum's maternal line goes back nearly two hundred years. I'm sad that it will probably never be reused now that my nanna, the last on with it as a middle name, has died. Almost makes me want to have children of my own but then how on earth would I choose from all my family names.

So, I'll offer my family names to you for my nominations as I'm not likely to ever use them myself:
