yes Global Warming is now beginning to be renamed Climate Change. as; one temperatures are falling and two the ice has started to thicken around the Artic, So politicians having jumped on a vote getting band wagon dont want to look more stupid than usual defend it with Gren taxes
As for the CO2 and temperature rises lagging behind still no relationship between the two. Most people dont realise we are talking about changes that are less than a millionth part of the atmosphere
And any Tom Dick or Harry can be an expert so long as he or she says there is Global Warming, but to say the opposite you have to show qualifications, but luckily there are plenty with qualifications saying Global Warming is rubbish

In the beginning it rained.
the rains fell on the land and were soaked up.
then came man, he diverted rivers and made great dams and lakes.
he colonised the land and covered it with houses,buildings and concrete,
the rain now fell on this concrete and the roofs and was now diverted into drains, which were fed into the watercourses, these are now often unable to carry all this extra water to the sea, so the rivers overflow, causing the colonists great misery.

Just thought how come ten years of warming is headlined as Global Warming up to 1998 but nothing headlines for the following ten years of global cooling from then to today.
Headlines when the sea ice is shrinking and thin but nothing when its growing and thickning as now. As Colin says this looks like a real scam

The sea ice to the north of Svalbard (Spitzberg) is according to the Norwegian metrological Agencies Ice watch thicker and covering a larger area than it has done since the eighties, another Global myth bites the dust. and talking about myths wasn't there a myth a few years ago about Iraq going to nuke us all? with all its weapons of mass destruction?smells a lot like this one about Iran.

My Uncle has long held the belief that Global Warming is a government myth.

Looking at changing weather patterns over the last few years I am beginning to believe him....

I remeber the summer in the 1970's that was scorching all the way through and then remember the storm in 1987.... all freaky weather. This sort of thing has been carrying on for generations.

AS an experiment to see how much the global warming lobby and environmental protesters actually know, they had hundreds of people sign a petition to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide. They told them it was in all the reservoirs, foods, baby milk - could excessive urination, bloated stomachs, etc.

Yes, Dihydrogen Monoxide is H2O. Water.

I've read numerous articles about Global Warming and I am still uncertain about how much change there is and how much we can do about it.

However many years ago I was teaching classes about the Environment and how important it is to care for the world around us. If making society greener means less pollution, less wastage of fossil fuels and more consideration for our planet then this can only be a good thing.

Attempting to explain present day climate extremes by reference to myths is not helpful.
I suppose we are about to have another spate of Creationist dogma preached at us again.

He is speaking on this video. This is worth watching.

His books are superb. "The Making of the Fittest" is an excellent book for anyone interested in really understanding what evolution actually means while "Endless Forms most Beautiful" is a bit heavy going for a non-scientist but worth the struggle.

With temperatures falling from their 1998 peak looks now the cry will be Climate Change and as the climate changes constantly The Goverments of the world can tax us to prevent Climate Change even if it is a natural occurence
