I bathed the 3 grown up Lhasas yesterday, the dogs that don't moult and only loose hair when you brush them. Well I was brushing away and the hair was coming out in brush fulls. It was a real sight, it looked like it had been snowing black, white and blonde hair all over my patio by the time I finished.

I always do it on the patio Liz or the OH moans about dog hair mutter mutter, even in the depths of winter.

I used to do our dog outside as much as poss but also when you sat with her and ansentmindedly stroked her, there would be hair, she was yellow lab cross, I would scoop up what I could and put out for the birds lol

We have 2 labs the yellow one is a nightmare it's an endless battle brushing her it just never stops comming out ! She prefers being hoovered than brushed !
The choc one is a diffrent story she moults very little

Dont know about any other Collies but ours had a bath saturday ,and we had fur every where coming out in handfuls! if that werent enough when she was let out of the bathroom after giving her a good drying she then rolled all along the top landing and down the stairs ..what a mess !! and days later I am still getting loads off of her when I brush her have to do it daily other wise one cant keep up with it,..I recon its the late string were still having {although its supposed to be summer even the birds were late starting the breeding season what do you think?? Jean

hello, i've a lhasa, but i have hair cut off, i normally do it myself but what with my hand have to get some one to do it now, but when brushing him yes more than usual,......
i noticed that, the pidgeons nested late this year, i should have babies now...

It has to be something like that Jean .....I've had dogs all my life and I've never known it this bad.

I've been looking into getting one of the wonder grooming aids mentioned on the thread, but can't find it anywhere.

Anyone got any more info about where I can find one please........I'm getting desperate lol. Even a trip to the groomers didn't help lol xx

I used to have a lab before we got our Collie and she loved being hoovered every time i cleaned the floor Id say come be brushed girl and she loved it not many hairs on carpet with her lol but Megan wont entertain it ...Jean.

daisy wont go near the hoover, she chases it and barks everytime,
shes just bonkers, she even chases the lawn mower

I have a nightmare at the moment trying to sweep the patio with 4 pups and 3 adult dogs chasing the sweeping brush!!!
