In 1891 I've got dad John 45, daughter Fanny 16, son Morris 14 plus younger children all in the Pentonville area. Older brothers John (the important one bc1868 Clerkenwell), William and James have left home and the mother Mary Ann is in HMP Holloway. Can't find the main family at all in 1901.

Now I've just found an army pensions record for a John Sullivan born in Clerkenwell mother Mary Ann of Pickering Street, Islington, brothers James and Maurice sister Fanny Platt. All ticks even though the younger siblings aren't mentioned. *But* his age is given as 29 in 1914 and then this is crossed out and 35 is written over it. This is still too young I know but I can't find another family that would match these.

I found on quite a few of the Army Records that the age doesn't match, Perhaps they lied about the age to be younger as well as older:)

These are the Catholics aren't they? Does it show his religion on his attestation papers?

Oh are you are a luv:)) I reckon it's them - I do know of people lying because they were too old same as the other way. If I could find a Fanny Sullivan who married a Platt I'd be happier:) But then this lot don't always marry do they.

Nope they say C of E same as my main line lol. Despite the fact that hardly any of them ever went into a C of E church to baptise or marry :)))
