My niece has just called me in tears .
Shes pregnant with her 1st baby . shes 26 weeks and she is craving ice cubes big time .
Her OH mother keeps telling her that she could make the baby stillborn if she keeps eating them .
Now has anyone ever herad such rubbish ,
apparently this woman's sister had a still birth and they recon it was co she ate ice cubes?

I had craving for Ice-cubes with my eldest daughter. I consumed bucket loads of them. Daughter was a fine 8lb baby when she was born.

Utter rubbish.

Thing is with her hormones all over the place she'll wind herself up .....potentially doing herself all sorts of damage.

Suggest she phones NHS direct or the local maternity ward JUST to put her mind at rest bless her heart xx

our water has no problems but if she is worried you can always boil the water let it cool then freeze!!!
I see no reason why not to have them!!

The thing is my niece or her OH dont smoke
but the mother smokes
how dare she scare her like this .
i ve told her to say that her ciggies will harm the unborn baby more than the ice cubes.
although my Niece dont stay in the same room as her when she puffs away.

Thinking again though.........and playing devils advocate...........when I miscarried my first baby I convinced myself it was because I kept drinking pure orange juice.......absolute rubbish of course but because I had no other explanation I latched onto that.

Maybe that's what she is doing and is convinced in her mind that icecubes caused it? Just a thought xx
