I told the kids that their pocket money has been stopped for this week......they've been a bit lippy and are both saving for a toy each......so when OH was at work I made the decision to use that as punishment.

OH has just come in and said....... Eldest only needs another £2 for her toy and youngest £4 can we let them have them this week?

I said NO they've lost their money I have already said. He tutted at me and is most disapproving about it.

WHY ASK......... he KNOWS I don't threaten without seeing it through and i'm really annoyed that I've been made to look the baddy here.......... GRRRRRRRR anyone else get this with their OHs?xx

My hubby used to do the very same thing when my 2 were younger, and I used to get cross with him. then all 3 of them used to gang up on me.

It's so irritating isn't it to always be the bad guy?.......I'm hoping in the long run they'll have more respect for me but it's not easy xx

Ohhhhh Helen, how well I remember that! LOL

I couldn't even say 'wait till your father gets home' because that didn't bother them either...they knew he would only tickle them to death.

Point is, they have turned out great adults with kids of their own now, and I am proud of them.

We always support each other as far as the kids are concerned. Even if we disagree with what the other is doing.
United we stand and all that.

Ive found it is very, very hard to come to the same decisions with kids, but know it is best to prevent a united front.

I would stop OH's pocket money, or treats, or feeding him or whatever. lol
My OH doesn't go against my decisions but my 2 youngest aren't above trying to set us up against each other unwittingly. Like when he's gone out to work the kids will say he said that they could watch TV. Little sods!
