Erm.... Daffodil? lol

I do have a very old fashioned flower as one of my real-life middle names

and Ann isn't used very often any more... it has become Annie or Anna.

I'm Clair - a 70's name for a 70's child.

Honestly, there were four Claire's in my tutor group alone-and about ten in the year group.

I haven't met many claire's older than me, nor many much younger than me so it must've only been popular for a short while.

eg certain names are associated with certain eras

eg some of the older names eg jack, Sophie, etc have come back into fashion

some names never have eg Ethel (apologies to Ethels - your time will come again lol)

Some names like Tracy, Colin, Lesley, Joanne, Julie remind you of certain generations and aren't in vogue at the moment although they are quite common.

Sunshine Bear
The name Clair/Clare/Claire became popular following the release of Gilbert O'Sullivan's Clair in 1972.

Thank you Mum for giving me a name that would reach popularity years after my birth

Thanks for that Claire in Wales.

That also exlains why my parents spelled it without an 'e'. I always presumed they were drunk or insane with tiredness when they registered me.
