Having roast beef tonight so turned oven on - prepared potatoes & other veg.

Son kept asking me to come & play draughts.

Quickly put tray in oven.

Came back to check an hour later - oven is still cold - fan has been going so looks like it broken.

Had to pot roast it now & tea is now delayed!

Penny, prefer it oven roasted but don't suppose you had much choice there, enjoy it anyway.

Slightly different Kitty.
And yes... basically... in a pot! ;-0)

PS... brown it off first to seal the juices in.

Ain't life hard love?

Oven......pot.......boiled.......sealed.............roasted????

Oh dear...............now I'm really confused!!

So you seal the meat then put it in a s
saucepan and boil it in water??

Think I'd better stick to the roasting and slow cooking! :)))

in my recipe book it said pot roasted was on a stove!

I wouldn't have minded slow roasting it but I haven't got 4-8 hours now !
