I have - from UK to Australia - very hard at first, but you have to give it time to make friends and create a new history - definately worth it in the end.

I have never moved and had a stable and loving home.
My husband however moved house 23 times when he was growing up, from scotland, to newcastle, cambridge, manchester, back to scotland, back to lancs and even a spell in germany. He was bullied for having a scottish accent then a geordie and then a lancs accent. This was not good for his education or stability. Since we have been married we have never moved and he feels secure and so do the kids, so if there are children involved think carefully!

Think who you might miss and can you get back easily to see them- including emergencies!
Most of my husbands family are scattered across the UK and he very rarily sees them. His grandmother moved to her daughters in Northhampton - a few hundred miles away, she is 85 and in poor health. he hasn't seen her in 8 years but hopes his last visit won't be her last.
