Back in half an hour with the answers. Interested in you memories of the programmes involved, or the wireless in general.

1.We three, the Happidrome - who were they?
2 Who was 'the man in black'
3.Two characters from ITMA and their sayings.
4.Last TV programme late at night, particularly sundays.
5.'down in the jungle living in a tent, better than a pre-fab, no rent'. Who was the star of the show.
6.A comedian who used a violin in his act (I can think of at least three).
7. Wireless programme which started 'once again we stop the roar of London,s traffic'

No.6 Vic Oliver played the violin and formed an orchestra but was also on Saturday evenings on Home Service in chat type comedy show I think after In Town Tonight.

Can anybody remember the name of the comedian who was in a TV series about a pickle factory? I think he may have been in ITMA.

Called it the wireless deliberately. (if anyone remembers cats whiskers, I,m off) Would still be interested in any memories of the programmes or people.

1.Ramsbottom, and Enoch and me (Harry Korris) (Enoch - "let me tell you"
2.Valentine Dyall who used to scare us with his sombre stories.
3.Many.- Funf- Germany calling'. mona lott - being so cheerfull what keeps me going;Mrs mopp - can I do you now sir; colonel chinstrap(I don,t mind if I do;; don,t forget the diver.
4 Epilogue.
5.Charlie Chester show.
6.Jack Benny; Ted Ray; Jimmie Wheeler - 'eye eye, that's yer lot'
7 In town tonight.

Hi Harry - just re-read questions and realised you had asked for characters for No.3 - sorry - will try to put brain in gear before you come up with another quiz.

Round the Horn - one of the b est comedy programmes on TV as well as Ken Dodd's radio shows wich were hysterical

Family Favourites every Sunday with Cliff Michelmore and Jean Metcalf

The Clitheroe Kid

Peter Brough and Archie Andrews - though how we were ever stupid enough to listen to a ventrolquist on radio I have no idea

Paul Temple - detective series
