Firstly, thank you to everyone who sent positive vibes, hugs, love and good wishes after my most recent medical hiccup!

On Tuesday I was at the gym in Withybush doing my physio, I felt fine apart from the wobbly hip and managed my exercises just fine.

Brian had to go to Hungary for the day on Wednesday and wasn't due home till 3.30 a.m. Thursday morning. At about 9 o'clock Wednesday night I suddendly had crippling pains in my back and I couldn't take proper breaths.

My mother died from a pulmonary embolism following a hysterectomy when I was 8 so have always been aware of a risk.

I had to balance me over reacting and under reacting (if that makes sense) so I hung on till 3 a.m. then asked for an ambulance. Brian arrived just after the paramedics and followed in the car to Carmarthen hospital.

I have to say they were 'on the case' immediately. I had a portable chest x-ray in A & E and various drugs were administered (apart from anything Morphine based to which I am allergic).

I then had a cat scan and they located the clot in my right lung. I had three clot busting injections one after the other in my abdomen and started on Warfarin plus a right old assortment of tablets and suppositories to try and control the pain. I felt better until Saturday night when the pain was damned bloody awful again and they rechecked my bloods and scans and found I also had an infection around the clot. IV Antibiotics were added and I am now on tablet form for all drugs. This was in order for me to get out of there. So I am now home, resting and watching the things I am supposed to keep an eye on to avoid any more complications!

I feel like I have been through a mangle but I didn't have a heart attack or stroke so I am really lucky!!! :-))

What an old crock I am...lol.

So that's the news, many thanks to everyone who has been in touch, I managed to text a few peeps from my bed..(quietly) whose numbers I had on my phone, so thanks for replies to those.
Special thanks to Jax for her contact (she is gonna get fed up soon).

Thank you all again for you kind comments. I will add to threads slowly, but if I miss somethings important bear with me cos I feel about 110 years old at present and the little grey cells are a bit sluggish!!

I promise to be a good girl...lol I still have my exercises to do!!!! just what I feel like..NOT!

Building work is finished, except the lifts are crap as the porters have to force the doors closed!!
