Daphne sorry for dissapearing earlier. I think the heat got to me so I went and had a shower and laid down on Settee for a while and fell asleep. Then when I woke up my one and only programme that don't miss was on TV was on watched that. Just been and had my third shower of the day and feel a little better now

Not cooled down at all really Daphne
I have to open the doors and windows when the sun goes down as I feel so blocked up with the aircon on all day I feel so closed in. No breeze tonight at all and just checked the Temp its still 28 degrees so going to be a sticky night. I have 4 fans going now and all the windows and doors open. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ok enough complaining

Have you tried soaking your heaviest towels and draping them on the drying rack in front of the fans ?

We don't have air conditioning in this house and I find that old trick works well.

Put a wash tub underneath with water in and let the ends of the towels dangle in it they stay damp and don't drip on the floor.

I'll try that trick Daphne sounds good. Rushes off to get Towel for her fan closest to her

I really couldn't survive without the Aircon but I really feel so closed in and blocked up with it. Much rather have the fresh air.
