Hi all, Cumbrian Caz and I were wondering if there were any of you lovely people out there interested in a meet in Cumbria.

Non-Cumbrian people would be more than welcome too. I realise that those of you south of Manchester might get a nosebleed coming up this far north but it's a lovely part of the country and we have a very nice travelodge. We're sort of out on a limb up here so if anyone is interested it would be great to see you all.

Please register your interest here.

Dates unknown yet lol. How about slap bang in the middle of the A590 lmao.

Colin, I love bowness, gotta be careful of the chinese tourists lately though. Will they give you a visa, we're kinda choosy y'know lol.

Travelodge at the end of the armpit in Barrow.

I wont be able to go to the meet(due to work) but i hope all of you who go have a great time.Have you ever had one before in cumbria?

~Summer Scribe~ Report 29 Jan 2008 14:25

Not that I'm aware of Angela. I'm thinking if we have it when it's getting a bit warmer but before the real summer season kicks off it will be best. Finding a location will be a challenge.

Pity you can't make it. Work is evil!

LMAO, sure and there's also the *cough* windmills. Do you think we should put out a warning for the dive bombing seagulls?

Oh... If we had it in Morrison's carpark we could look at the boats. lol.

I am up there Caz, 16th -23rd February and 4-10 May and probably 15-22 June so even if there is not a meet can we arrange a meeting there somewhere. If it is fro coffee there is always Booths Ulverston (that is not a suggestion for a meet!)

~Summer Scribe~ Report 29 Jan 2008 15:05

Oh, not booths... the Crystal factory across the car park from it... they do the most yummy cakes and white hot chocolate *drool* Or they used to anyway lol.

Think Feb might be too soon to organise something May might work.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Jan 2008 15:08

Yes, the crystal factory cakes are lovely - Booths is cheaper Lol!! Yes, i wasn't suggesting feb for the meet. It is just caz and I have been trying to meet now for about 18 months, last years meet didn't come off and we never seem to manage it when i am up there.

Whereabouts are you SS?

Barrow, Ann, right at the end of the longest cul-de-sac in the country (possibly the world) lol
