I haven't been on GR very much this year and most of you will know that this is because the last 18 months, without exaggeration, have probably been the worst of my life.

I would like to say a huge and very sincere 'thank you' to everyone who has added to the relevant threads, or sent me PMs or emails. We really have been uplifted by all the genuine messages of support received during our very difficult times. I don't take anything or anyone for granted and appreciate every single word that has come my way.

We are more fortunate than a lot of people in that things are looking up. Our son has had a fantastic first term at Uni and his happiness has made us happy. He has three guardian angels looking after him there. My Dad has started driving again and is getting his independence back.

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas, and a peaceful and healthy New Year.
