I remember after I had my daughter I was talking to my grand-mother I asked her what my cousin named her new son I"ll never forget her reply " Darlene had a girl and she called her Dallas and thats a boys name and I don't like it" I just replied I"m Darlene, I had a girl and I called her Dallas, what did Jen call her boy
see Charley there will always be a family member who dosen't like the name we choose for our children.
Look at mine -----named after a mouseskeeteer

i wanted to name rachel chastity but my 93 yr old nan told me that it was a sex object and that if i named rachel that she would call her hannah so i changed it as i didnt want people to think like that about the name i chose for my daughter?

I prefer traditional names, can't stand all the daft stuff some parents come up with!

However I would say Ellis is definately a boy's name and a girl's version would be Elise.

My Gt Gt grandfather's Christian name was actually Sellis!
