My elder daughter once sat and picked her nose for about 3 hours (well it felt that way), I wanted to throw something at her. I wouldn't mind but she's the one who behaves herself.
My son was always sat close to the teacher, I asked my OH (who is a teacher himself) if that was coincidental and he said 'mm don't think so'.
You have my sympathy re: child retreival/8 months pregnant Hayley.

funny enough that year school finsihed on the 21st Dec....by tea time 22nd I started in labour and she was born the early hours on the 23 rd.....lol....

When I went to big school we did different plays normally written by the drama and music teachers I always got a singing part ( if I was well behaved enough) and in my last year got the lead part of a modern version of Alice in Wonderland with a difference...lol

I remember my eldest's daughter's 1st Nativity, she was the Angel Gaberial and had a lovely golden dress and had to sing. I had just had youngest daughter 10 days before and my hormones were up the spout. I was so proud of her, she sang the first verse of Away in a manger all by herself and the tears were rolling down my face. Hubby was in the Army at the time and I was sat on the front row next to the commanding officers wife and she kept passing me tissues.

My youngest's is at the church, she's been telling me she's going to John's church, as she apparently knows St John well.
I have to stop myself filling up too.
They do a mothers day service and that's a real tear jerker.

Hayley,
I didn't just have tears running down my face, I was sobbing and shaking. I was so embrassed. I couldn't stop myself.

I was in the choir, so just got to sing......no platform for my obvious theatrical ambitions.......great loss to the nation....

One time I did get on stage, we were doing a black and white minstrels type show......Swing Low Sweet Chariot and other negro spirituals......we had to sing Oh dem Golden Slippers......and I was the one in Golden Slippers.......a pair of plimsolls painted yellow......my claim to fame....
