Hoping the op goes well for your little one, and that she enjoys hearing the sounds we all take for granted. Bet she will love Christmas once she is used to the volume of the sounds. Maybe a thick hat over her ears will help at first, to muffle the sounds a bit.

Thankyou all for the pm's and messages....

Jessie was a star and all the theatre team fell in love with her. We had our own room and watched a couple of cartoons before the nurse came and did her 'hand numbing cream', then we walked up to the theatre and she laughed as she went to sleep, followed by a massive snore, lol... Jessie's daddy and I had a cuppa in her room then they called me back to theatre to be there for when she woke up - and it was, as usual, with a beautiful smile!
Within minutes of being awake she was beeping the nurse for some food and tucking into chicken nuggets and chocolate milkshake..(don't get that at NHS!!)

Jessie's op didn't go as we'd hoped and her hearing is pretty much the same, but the specialist said it may improve over the next few days...if not, it's more ops.....

Thankyou all so much for sending so much love and thoughts our way, it helped me be a lot stronger than i thought i was going to be yesterday!

Jessie is back home and back to her usual happy self (it was me who needed the bed rest, pmsl)

Thanx again...

Lou, hope little one's hearing does improve so making the op worth having, but I am glad she is so happy anyway, bless her.

Keep us posted.
