we have no understanding of that clue, but never doubt your god whatever name you call him by

Clue I often wonder that too when something bad happens but I have never lost my faith in God (not that I go to church only hatches, matches and despatches)

We have really 2 options in my view.

I .. as an individual can go through life with the point of view that:

There is no god .. and take my chances when i get to the pearly gates..

or

There is a god .. and be well miffed when there are no pearly gates.

to put it another way ...

Is it best to go through life believing in a god. . to find out there isnt one..
or
to go through life NOT believeing in a god to find out there IS one.??

Faith can be sorely tested in many ways. It is how the individual wishes to handle it.

When the total inforgiving, unadulterated waste of human life in the ethnic cleansing of Bosnia is witnessed first hand, The futile screams of women and children going unheard... One has to question the validity of a higher being.

It is within everyone.. i believe for themselves to make a difference .. not rely on an entity that may or may not exist.

what about the young mother who died for her god this week,is that right

the red indians had it about right, they had many gods, the sun the rain the wind the earth and many more, things that they could see and feel

I know this may sound a bit you know...

But I think this thread may get to hot to handle and people end up fighting like a couple of weeks ago.

So please tread carefully the boards have only just been reunited again.

Don't worry Catherine I am here to keep my eye on things today and will pull the thread if I think it is getting too negative.

I would never argue over religion ..

and i agree Ellan . Rwanda is another case in point. Though i wasnt there for that one. most of us know what horrors occured.

i am not of any particular religion, i have my own belief in a god and that is my personal choice, my faith in this will never be shaken .and it is not open for discussion.
