While doing my research I have come across a few silly place names. So let's hear yours as well. I will start with the following

Little Snoring - Norfolk
Glutton - Derbyshire
Bagwyllidiart - Herefordshire (this one is near my family home and we used to call it bagofidiots)

The North East has some wonderful village names, one that keeps popping up in my tree is Bedlington in Northumberland - makes me feel sleepy!

between the M20 and M2 in Kent is Ucking, never been there, but all along that road there are signs that say "No Ucking U-turns". Not sure whether there is an F in Ucking!!!

silly names not restricted to England, Australian places include
Box Hill, Rooty Hill, Boyup Brook, Mooball, Yorkeys Knob and
Doughboy.

Wet Wang in Yorkshire aparantly it means drippy dick! by the way brown willy is a hill in cornwall on bodmin moor it's the highest point of cornwall I've stood at the top of it.
