Pat is 74 years old, godmother to our children (as we are to one of hers).

She has just come out three weeks of intensive care, having caught C. difficile in hospital following a gall bladder operation.

She is still very ill and the outcome is by no means assured, but she, her family and we would appreciate your prayers.
