Im Mansfield and proud, lol. Moved to Banbury aged 16, and adopted their rather posh accent gradually, without realising. My boss at work hated anyone North of Banbury and their accents, so that made things hard for a while. But then he was a woman hater in general lol. Living in Coventry I had no particular accent, but having moved North of Coventry now, I've gone back to my Mansfield tones slightly, as there are a lot of people from all over here. |

Hi Helen S - I have a couple of Stotties in my freezer. Whenever anyone is going up to Geordieland I get them to bring some for me. I am Midlands born but of one parents Newcastle and the other Jarrow - one each side of the Tyne. As a result of this 'parentage' and my Midlands birth, I am a real mixture with probably mainly a midlands accent but lots of Geordie phrases thrown in and a bit of a geordie twang as well. |

I too don't have a cockney accent. Yes I was born in London and my brother had a cockney accent but I disliked it immensely so never took it up. |

Stotties are big flat buns about 8 inches or so in diameter. You would cut some off to use, a quarter make a generous sarnie and they's absolutely gorgeous. |
