I use the microwave to defrost mine. I do it a few minutes at a time though or they will come out cooked - as you already know! :-) |

don't ever wash a raw chicken....you can get bacteria on it and that can result in food piosoning, |

I'm still here to tell the tale... I always forget to get the chook pieces out of the freezer and defrost them in the microwave. I'll think twice now though. |

Northernheart rye. All I can say is you are a very lucky lady. The danger in cooking chicken from frozen is that it might not be thoroughly cooked in the centre and that is where the problem can arise as regards bacteria. Salmonella is a particuarly nasty illness which can take weeks to clear out of your system and makes you feel very ill. Lecture over. |
