Has any of the items turned up yet?

How can a bag of presents just disappear from a locked venue?

Still shocked by this!

Make sure you name the venue,

Just for an update... the cleaners were personally known to us and they and my daughter went through the skips with all the rubbish and nothing was there... having gone through everything it has been verified that the bag was left inside the building and Lisa and her mum and dad were last to leave before the staff that worked the bar... they locked up... My son-in-law ran back up after realising when he neared home (500yards away) and everywhere was locked up... we cannot accuse anyone of course!!!!!! The police are now involved, but we cannot expect anything to come back to Lisa... we know it has been stolen by a callous and vile person or persons....

My daughter has asked me to thank all of you for your wonderful support... it is helping enormously... and thankyou from the bottom of my heart....

Hi Anne

Just a thought, is it worth contacting the Security Dept of the Head Office if the venue is one of a chain, as the Manager should have reported it and an internal investigation carried out.

The venue was a Catholic Social Club... someone from the family went to see the parish priest about this and he said that the club is now run by the diocese in Shrewsbury so we have to contact them... it is going to be done... we are trying every avenue we can to bring this matter to light..

All your suggestions have been taken on board... thankyou again so much...

You are a lovely lot...

Oh goodness, doesn't it make it somehow worse that this happened in a church club? I have to say this, I would be looking very closely at the bar staff, especially if any of them were casual employees not known to the bar manager.

((((hugs)))) Anne

I agree with Ann that its worse that its a church venue!

They should be insured but no doubt some silly sign that says valuables are left at your own risk that no-one has seen will be produced and cover them!

Its appalling!

Honey, I didn't realise the things had been inadvertently left behind. I do hope the publicity might get back the special cards and gifts even if not the money, as I am sure the insurance will deal with that part, and the personal things mean so much to Lisa.

Ann

It's despicable that someone could do this. Lisa and her family are such lovely people.

Myself, Maz & Col are sorry to hear this.
