my 81yr old mum joyce is having a hip replacement today. can i ask all you kind people to just rmemeber her in your thoughts and prayers. many thanks UPDATE - mum had it done this morning and when i went to visit i couldnt believe her sat there saying she felt so well she wanted to go home tomorrow. lol nurse said she wasnt even allowed out of bed to go to the loo, so how she expects to come home i do not know! 2ND UPDATE - well they have said that she can come home tomorrow, (sunday) so i am going to be busy rearranging furniture this morning. i cant get over how well she is! the wound is sore, which is to be expected but otherwise she is in great spirits! thanks to everyone who has pm'd me and lest messages on here. tina x

thanks keith, shirley and joyce. went to see her last night and she she looked so small and frail sat in the chair. she was in good spirits thoguh, bless her. i know first hand what its like only difference is i was 40 and not 81! dont know what time she is going down as she didnt know herself. going to be worried all day until visiting time tonight. tina x

hope she is okay. Dont know if my mum may need something like this. She is 80 and can hardly walk through the pain. Her brother and sister both had it done but she is of the opinion that once you go into hospital you dont come out again..
