Is it just me? When I click on the General Topics link at the bottom of the home page under community, I seem to go to a page which has every message which is being posted regardless of what thread its being put on. Makes very confusing reading!!! Marion

I like the new look too. I'm normally really conservative - with a small 'c' - and I hate change, but this is really quite good :)

im using it to write this. the reply box is too far over to the left, but other than that i like it. hot matches are better, although you still get millions of useless matches. please please match them to areas as well as surnames!!! in general i like the new version though. change is good. stagnation is bad! paul..

if you are on the GR*com site you don't have Connections or the new face lift :) UPDATE: I'm wrong - I just discovered the new facelift on the hotmatches page :) :) Vonny

I will compose a suitable email to GR when I have had some time to consider it carefully. It's no good just writing to say that it's rubbish. Constructive criticism is much better, so I want to explain what exactly elements I don't like, why I don't like them and how I think those bits could be better. I am very grateful for the service that GR provides. Without it I wouldn't have found new cousins and gained so much new information about my ancestors, so I don't just want to have a moan.

Good idea Vicky, do that. I really hate the new layout, and e-mailed them to say so. Did you do that? There is a place at the bottom for that, just tell them and send it off. Deanna X

Morning all I'm getting used to it(apart from clinging onto side of page writing this... lol I do like the connection pages and think system for allowing trees is a whole lot better. Sometimes takes time to adjust to new things,sure there will be colour eventually re. adverts! Mau ;O))

The old site was in desperate need of a revamp, but this new layout isn't much better. The home page is simply messy and far too busy. Lack of care and attention to detail is making it look cheap and 'home made'. Surely a company like ITV must have the resources at its disposal to do a better job than this. And why not centre the whole layout? It only takes a line of code! In fact, I'm so annoyed with the new layout I'm thinking of creating my own design and sending it the GR.

lol Alan I quite like it actually bit bland could do with more colour but apart from that. I had to sign back in this morning, something I never have to do and it's take me back to the old one even though I was on the new- catherine xx

As I am going blind it is much easier on the eyes for me and I like it. Roger

they seem to have sorted the hot matches bit out, Im now finally down to three pages whereas before I had 10 pages with the same names on there about 10 or more times. jean

mine looks the same, nothing to click on at the right hand side apart from 'official marriage records' tina x

I'll keep on with the old layout till they remove it. If ain't broke, why fix it comes to mind.
