Not that old, about 25 years old. Tupperware is very big in france at the moment and have been invited to a few of the parties, must admit though , it does last and does the job. I bought the garlic crusher after getting fed up with others always breaking and I swear by it. The pot masher is brill as well, so do think its worth paying a bit more plus it will be replaced if breaks . From a very sad TW fan xx Jill

Jill It must be one of their best sellers if they are still making them. I bought mine for shape recognition for a reception class before I got married. My children had endless fun and also used to draw round the shapes or use them as play dough cutters. I thought Tupperware parties had finished.... I haven't heard of any being held locally for some time now. Gwyn

Morning Maddy, You must be young then lol. I've got a jelly mould, that must be 30 years old, it's probably lasted so well because I have only used it about 4 times :)))) Hi Gwyn:) I had one of those too, anything Tupperware, never broke did it, it just got thrown out. I used to thin it was expensive, but looking back, it sure did last, I think it even had a lifetime guarantee, wonder if it's still made? Hi Jenny Looks like it's a 70's thing doesn't it? Bonjour Jill:)) Can you invite me over to go to a Tupperware party please, are they still the same as they were here, and what sort of new things do they do now? I remember, that if you had a party, you used to get a gift, and if you ordered certain things, you'd get a pressie, usually of something that they didn't sell in the catalogue, I remember getting a toothbrush cover once, only threw it out a few years back. Maybe you could find out if the still do Tupper parties Gwyn, and I'd come to your house :)))

I'm sure I heard somewhere that the parties had been abandoned. We have had a Tupperware thread in the past and I think it may have been mentioned there? Lynda I have one of those jelly moulds...also in pristine condition through lack of use...Lol. I have to admit that mine hasn't got all of it's interchangeable patterns for the top/base though. When we were in Cyprus in 70s and couldn't get Christmas tree chocolate hanging decorations, I thought I'd make my own with the star and bell pattern. Melted chocolate is VERY hot and it melted straight through the plastic and the mess had to be scraped off the work surface. Gwyn

Norah I recognise that decription....I've got some too. My children used to love to be allowed to do a crayon 'rubbing' of the starburst lid. Gwyn

I've still got, and use all the time, my Tupperware rolling pin. It was bought for me as an engagement present (!?!) in 1965 by my Mum's next door neighbour. She also gave me a pastry sheet (never used it) and a large mixing bowl with a lid, which I used to sterilise my elder son's feeding bottles in the early 70s and haven't used it as a mixing bowl since! It's still in my cupboard now and used by my grandchildren for various messy activities :o))) I still use Tupperware containers for both S.R. and plain flour, and for caster, granulated and demerara sugar, all of which must be at least 25 years old. I also have two of the citrus peelers, which I think were given as prizes for the silly games, which are also still in use. One of the best ever Tupperware containers was the batter mixer. You put in the flour, milk & egg, put on the wheel shaped thing and then the top and shake it - making sure the top is on properly first! It makes smooth batter with no lumps and is fantastic. Unfortunately mine got used in the children's sandpit! LOL My friend recently sold a Tupperware shape sorter on ebay for over £15!!! Wish I'd hung on to mine now. Sue xx

Morning Lynda, I have a hideous green Tupperware thing, must be 20 years old or more, I am not sure of its original purpose though I have a feeling it was a salad crisper.....it is in my kitchen drawer and I use it as a container for my wooden spoons and other paraphenalia. I was the one at the Tupperware Party who used to drink the tea, eat the biccies and slide off without actually buying anything!! Dee x
