An idea! Maybe we need alcohol interlock devices on some peoples computers - like drink drivers have on their cars, so they can only turn on their computers when their blood alcohol is below a certain level?

IF all threads were removed and General was a totally blank page, Genes might think twice about deleting all our threads in future lol.

I don't believe in automatic deletion. You like to reminisce sometimes, some threads are only appropriate once a year eg Christmas panto threads lol

Old threads should be deleted........................for example... if a thread hasn't been nudged ( for reference as some are, eg board abbreviations ) for lets say 6 months then it is automatically deleted. This approach does work, we have it on our systems at work, if it isn't used within 6 months then it's gone for good, it free's up space for things that are needed

Well Jean, I seem to keep missing the ones that are full of nastiness.......all I get to read is the threads containing all the Flak, afterwards. so if there is a way of spotting them, i might like to know.. Bob

Hoff you would have been proud of me the other day when you were on holiday. Catherine wanted someone to send her a nasty pm so she could post it on the boards. I said Liverpool were the best Football team or words to that affect. She said she woiuld NEVER post that on the board lol

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 26 Jul 2007 18:50

please, define controversial thread... does it mean.... it is argumentative? debateable? originated by a particular poster? added to, by a non desirable? a particular subject/topic that some may feel is taboo? what line would you draw......? Bob
