Paul is very practical as always. My most romantic gesture was marrying her! In the service I sang a song that I wrote for her.

I know this one's 'for the men', but I will put my two p's worth in anyway! I once went out with someone who did all the romantic stuff in spades - it was wonderful for a while but I soon discovered he was a complete B*****D!! Yes, I do like the romantic gestures, but the 'everyday' stuff has to be good too!

sheila it can work either way i suppose when a man gives you floweres they are either doing it out of love or doing it to hide somethingxxxxx(:

Lisa Report 7 Sep 2004 15:55

manda i know how you feel.we try to spare a mans feeling when we let them down.but they have the subtlety of a rhino fart.the last man i let down with goodbye didn't know what hit him .been with him for three years and there was physical violence and mental cruelty involved and when i decided that enough was enough i finished with him.that was the best day of my life as he had the power over me for three years and i took it back while he was crying his eyes outxxxx(:

John

John Report 7 Sep 2004 16:07

Lisa

Lisa Report 7 Sep 2004 16:07

yep danny he was physically violent to me and at that time i could have shown you the bruises to prove it.i was lucky i had finished it when i did as my brother found out and actually asked someone to break his legs for it.xxx(:

Lisa

Lisa Report 7 Sep 2004 16:08

john i am well and truly over that now .but i have promised myself never to let a man treat me like that again or they would have my brother to worry about!!!!!!!xxx(:

Well I have to say I don't think I'm terribly romantic, but I do like to arrange the occasional weekend away, send flowers from time to time etc. Last year, on our anniversary, we went to New York for the weekend, stayed in a hotel overlooking Central Park - it was very significant for us as we should have gone there on our honeymoon (Florida then New York) but got stuck in Florida because of 9/11.
