I've known her since my early teens when we both rang the bells at Havering atte Bower church near Romford in Essex. She and her husband Rob are a lovely couple and committed Christians and have brought up five great kids. After being ill for a couple of years or more she was eventually diagnosed earlier this year and put on drug treatment. They are coming to see us tomorrow (we meet every couple of months) and when I spoke to Rob last night he said that Heather's throat muscles were now affected and she was having trouble swallowing. I am very fearful for the outcome and ask for your support. |

Brian Give all our best and a big hugs to your friend and her hubby. I really feel for both of them. A friend of ours has Parkinson's, origianally the medical people told him he was too young and spent five year trying to find something else. He was a great study case for me when I was training a couple of years ago for Body Massage. The weekly massage session really did help him. Wendy |

Best wishes for your friend Brian and all those supporting her. One of colleagues with whom I worked with for a few years had this awful condition which started when she was about 40 and her youngest child only 2. She stayed with us as long as possible but found working too difficult eventually. I hope a cure is found soon. Jacky |

Brian, So sorry to hear about Heather. My father had Parkinsons Disease 20 years ago. He was 66 at the time and had just retired. The drugs he had to take had dreadful side effects. However, in the last few years they have made enormous progress with this disease and can now control it to a certain extent. My thoughts are with Heather and I wish her all the best. Jean x. |

Brian, My Anutie has it, but she is brill! Can't get through a doorway but give her open space and I can't keep up with her! and she still makes the best battered fish you could taste. Took her on a cemetery search (as you do!) and she saw more than I did, I had to write every everything down but she remembered all the trancriptions that I had missed! |
