One task I'm left to do is to clean up when the cat's been sick on the carpet and trying to remove the stain. Washing dishes, making the bed it has been something I done since I was a child.

My husband is pretty good at most things,cooking,washing,ironing,DIY,painting/decorating,hoovering,shopping,I am disabled now after operation on spine, that went wrong,so cant do a lot of things anymore,do most things at waist level, never moans, just gets on with it. He can even SEW,haha, after all he was in the Royal Marines, and most of them can look after themselves,no matter what, the only complaint I have is that he SNORES, perhaps hes tired after all the chores, haha. Wouldnt change him for the world. trish.(who considers herself very lucky)

Oh, you gem, Paul! Your other half is lucky to have you doing all that. Ah, Gerry, you poor soul, you! Oh alright, you're a gem too! Glenys.

Being disabled I have someone who comes and does most things for me. Martin will come shopping with us though and he will wash up and make drinks. He will also clean the cats' litter tray on the odd occasions they use it instead of going outside (ie. when it is raining). Mel

Now I don't mean to boast, but ..... mine's a real gem. He helps around the house, sometimes does more than me (cos I'm on these message boards, lol!) and wouldn't change him for anything. Glen-The-Boastful P.S. Hey Mandy, apparently men aren't able to multi-task; Bob's told me this is mentioned in the book "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus". Bit of useless information - trying to make myself sound smart (pah!)

Mine is very good. He probably does more than his fair share because I have ME but desperately want to keep my part-time job, so I need a bit extra help at home. The only thing I would say - and I wonder how many women have noticed this about men - they are totally single-minded, unable to multi-task. I can give hubby a list of 20 jobs and he would do them all, but he wouldn't notice the one that I forgot off the list. He would walk over a sticky puddle to switch the washing machine on! Bless :))

He will cook some nights and always on a Saturday as he has his bottle of red wine and a CD blaring in the kitchen while daughter and I watch all the Saturday night programmes he hates. He started cooking many years ago when I worked shifts - he loves eating so had to learn! Household chores? You must be joking! Fill and empty dishwasher sometimes, hoover maybe twice a year but will sort the rubbish for collection on a Monday. Oh! and he likes to mow the lawn. Jacky :-)
