There is nothing nicer than a chilvarous male in my opinion.... even last night a male refused to allow me to buy him a drink as he said his parents would be appalled.... NICE!! But I would still offer and happily pay my way without thinking that the man was tight or anything like that! I like all that male strength stuff, as long as it's manners and not because of arrogance and a man thinking I can't do things myself!!

Something for you to debate... 1. Is it an outdated concept or in other words are we all supposed to be equal? Or is it still part of the fabric of society? 2. Is being chivalrous really the same as being well mannered? E.g. opening doors for women. 3. Is it seen in any way demeaning or patronising?
