I m not a man hater but find it very funny how they like to open doors and carry bags, but where are they when you get that big pile of ironing out?

Jan

Jan Report 22 Feb 2005 13:41

Deanna I agree with you. I'm always VERY grateful if anyone offers to carry my heavy shopping. I'm also very grateful when he offers to put it all away in the cupboards as well. lol J

I think men have a hard time trying to be anything like chivalrous in todays world. I've seen women tell men off for opening a door for them! I've heard girls laughing at a lad for saying sorry! I've seen my sons girl friend refuse to let him carry her VERY heavy bag which, was weighing her down. Yes it is very difficult for todays young men to be chivalrous. Deanna Now I'm off before the womens libbers start on ME! :-0))))

Andy

Andy Report 22 Feb 2005 13:02

I think it has a place still but am not sure whether there is a difference between chivalry and being well-mannered. I do open doors and so on, I haven't received any glares but one lass nearly fainted once as she wasn't used to it, lol. I don't doff my cap though, lol.
