Jill, How about this for a taste.. My cat, Ruffle went missing in August 2002 for noooooooo reason... After a year, decided that she wasnt coming back (I wouldnt accept it still) then.. In August (why that particular month, I dunno!) 2004. I was looking out of my bedroom window idily looking at my neighbour's garden, I swear my heart missed few beats cos I saw a cat sitting, looking up and meowed soooo loudly.. I was thinking.. Nah..?! No way..? ...That cant be her, can it? I was so curious that I ran downstairs to the garden legged myself up onto my table to peek over the fence, Flip's sake.. that was my cat who went missing for TWO fluffing years!!! Since then she's back home and carried on where she left off <tut!!!!> If only she spoke english as I'd love to know where that horror went all that time. Ruffle's mother is still missing (she vanished in Sept 2002) I'm hoping (still to this day) that Jet'll come back just like her daughter! How's that huh?! T

Pleased to hear that Alfie is safely home. My sister has a cat Alfie too. Sounds as if yours is a bit of a character, like hers.

Alfie has slept all day so he probably was out on the razzle!!! I thought that once they had been 'done' they stopped going on the prowl? I said that to a friend tonight and he said - well it hasnt stopped me. Fair comment I suppose. Thanks again to everyone for all the support and kind thoughts. very tired but happy Jill
