Good Lord! If Prince Charles, with all his privileges and wealth, is fed up with being told what to do, how does he think the rest of us feel in Blairy-fairyland?!!! If Camilla is so important to him, why doesn't he put their happiness first and give up public life, if he finds it all so painful. He ought to realise nobody - but NOBODY - can have everything in life! Silly man! CB >|<

I would hate to think that Diana is forgotten about, regardless of stories and slander, she appeared to bring a lot of happiness to a lot of people. Charles and Camilla however are just 'Royals', stuck up and Autocratic we do as they say not as they do. I would like to let Diana rest in peace, but i get this niggling feeling that all this was planned! No one seems to be addressing that anymore. I hope they get eggs thrown at them on their wedding day, and as for William i was hoping he would carry on with a part of his mother in him, that seems to be long gone. As for Harry i suppose time will tell. So my answer is Charles is correct i have no compassion for him and never will. Maybe when he shows a bit of compassion for animals he may learn to show compassion towards human beings!

Marian, Let,s have a little bit of fairness. You are entitled to your opinion on Prince Charles. The statement was, ' The British people are supposed to be compassionate. I don,t see much evidence of it' , he snapped back to a reporter. The remark was made in 1998 , SEVEN years ago. With the press he often gets, I would argue that he has a point. Happy days.

A man lacking morals and compassion is hardly in a position to complain about the British (alleged) lack of compassion. He says this because we are not prepared to be out there waving flags on the occasion of his taking a step he was not man enough to take years ago. It was revealed that Britain donated a fantastic £300 million to the tsunami appeal- proving that British compassion is alive and well. Bridget x

Cynical, I know, but do you think that Tony and his cronies thought a Royal Wedding would give us a feel-good factor to take us thro' the election and make us vote for the LP? Judging from all the messages on here, not many are thinking of C & C and their nuptials thro' rose-coloured specs! No i haven't seen this Linda, but it is common knowledge that Diana was very much aware of Camilla's prescence in the Abbey on her wedding day.

I have no problem with him marrying Camilla, good luck to them both. I was never a fan of his first wife. But I resent the money it will cost us. I resent every penny of my taxes that goes to this family. We don't need them - this is the 21st century. Let them start spending their own cash on housing and transport. If Andrew wants to travel by plane/helicopter to play golf then he should buy his own. Gwynne

Thinking about it, I agree with Sarah about going forward, etc. It might help if he acknowledged that he appeared not to show much - if any - compassion to Diana. He must acknowledge that he and his bit on the side (for that is what she was when Diana was alive) were in the wrong. OK, so Diana wasn't a saint, but she didn't deserve that.

I can't really be bothered with any of them...the Royals are from a family of mixed blood anyway, Germans , Greeks, French...you name it they got it. If you go back through the ages there was a lot of usurping and murders to get the throne of England....I was once told that the true heir to the throne lives in Australia and is an ordinary married man with a family....wouldn't surprise me either!!!
