That would never have done me any good. A lot of the work was in my memory and I was good at revising for an exam. My course work was , shall we say sparse?!!

Lucia, you're too bright to leave after fourth year! My two older ones said school is so much better once you get into 5th and 6th year, and just think....you don't HAVE to do PE then either. Don't leave...you'll regret it, I do! Christine

I could never understand why cross country was always done in the winter, and always when it was coldest ??? Many of my mates used to hide and tag along at the end, I like an idiot used to do the whole course, just to keep warm really, but I did like running, and did the AAA thingy at school. Pat x

Oh glad to hear that Lucia! That's right , they've started to pay the kids to stay on now, haven't they....what is it 30 quid or so? My daughter just missed out on that, but she worked at weekends and after school too. Still does though she's at college now doing Highers Christine

Christine, I don't think I'll get much though! lol I've decided to take English, Maths, German, History and Chemistry or Modern Studies. I don't mean to brag but I'm really pleased that I've qualified for five Highers. Lucia :-) Jim, How old are you? Hope that doesn't sound rude, just wondering if you are older than my granny lol :-)

Pat, you sound like my mum...I think I do need to go to bed though but this is too addictive. I actually stayed up till half four in the morning on Thursday and so slept in on Friday. Was finishing my art critical folio. Was really annoyed that I spent hours doing it and teacher said I'd get an average mark grrr lol Lucia :-)

Ah Lucia how on fair is that? But you cannot stay up so late and feel fresh in the morning there are times you can get away with doing that other times you must just be disciplined and just go with what's right. Monday morning is better when you have had a decent sleep, I don't have any deadlines to catch, I can go around in my sleep here, don't need to be fully awake. Night Lucia, always nice seeing you all the same X Pat x

I like the occasional Horlicks. Tonight I had one of those Cadbury Hi Lites. Cafe latte flavour. I wont' stay up much later though, I was up late last night watching the Aussie Grand Prix.

Sorry Lucia I missed it. I am 64 (going on 20). I have 5 kids aged 34 married with 5 32 married with 3 32 footloose and fancy free has a flat in a seaside resort about an hour's drive away but spends much of her time living out of a camper van. 28 just got engaged 26 Unmarried with a 3 year old son
