Where I worked Sultan of Brunai's kids used to come round after school. I've worked for the Austrian pianist Alfred Brendel and cooked for Lady Fermoy ( Diana's granny), Duke of Wellington's son and grandchildren, Dimbleby brothers, Lord sainsbury, Michael Howard, Antonia Fraser, Harold Pinter, Arthur Miller ( Marilyn's husband), Dame Edna's alter ego, Andrew Motion (poet Laureate), Simon Rattle, Sam Fox, Footballers Francis Lee and Kevin Keegan to name but a few. I lived behind Harrods and also in Hampstead and met the likes of Pauline Collins, Emma Thompson, Judy Dench, Boy George, the actors who played Dempsey and Makepeace, Esther Rantzen and Christopher Casenove when I was out shopping. I had a boyfriend ( lucky escape) who's father had made loads of famous films like ' The dirty dozen, Our man in Havana, Scott of the antarctic, Lolita and The hill' to name but a few. Famous people have to eat and shop like us and are usually really pleasant and chatty if you're polite and not pushy when you meet them. Louise.

Went up to Harrods with my daughter a couple of years age, for the end of the sale, and my daughter littrealy (spelling) went head first into Charlton Heston's chest, he is so tall, he was doing a book signing. This year we went again, and was having a snack at a little coffee place by the side of Harrods, on the same table was Raine Spencer (princess Diana's stepmother) she works in Harrods. Jennifer.

When I was a Saturday girl in a department store, I sold a Barbie Doll and a Superman outfit to Phil Collins. Then when my husband took a holiday job in a department store in Manchester he served Deirdre from Corrrie on his first day. He was all in a dither with the credit card etc, and she was really nice to him. Natalie

My mum grew up in Billericay. A boy from her school works for the BBC and is a writer/producer.... I went to BBC studies a few weeks ago. I didn't see much famous people but Natasha Kaplinsky walked past. I also saw a programme being filmed... Afterwards I saw Patrick Moore...couldn't believe my eyes and didn't say anything, just smiled at him and he looked at me too lol I didn't realise how old he was - he was in a wheelchair... Lucia :-)
