Hi Maz i hope your mum makes a full recovery, she sounds like a very independent lady. You take care of yourself and try not to worry to much, easier said than done i know. I'm sure she will be fine, with the treatment, and home before you know it. sandra

Hi Maz, Yes, I was just thinking of you 'cos I was reading some great books about the East End that my Dad lent me - they add some great colour to the 'bareness' of those family trees. And one thing that came through time and time again was the toughness of East End women! I'll give you the titles when you're feeling up to it. Found another whole family line through a kind GC member at the weekend...yet ANOTHER lot firmly entrenched in Spitalfields/Shoreditch/ Bethnal Green LOL!!! These were Huguenots probably, so quite interesting - silk weavers - and my lovely new relation even provided me with a will for one! Quite chuffed! Sleep well. Actually, you're probably waking up well, and I'll be asleep soon. Take care, and love to your mum. Sue (in NZ, who's also got a cold and is into the Lemsip!)

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 14 Mar 2005 15:05

Thank you ALL for your kindness! Mum is up and about today - unplugged from all machines and walking to the loo by herself. Found out though that 1 consultant is away, so she will have to wait probably until next Monday for her Angiogram (sp?) - she is NOT amused!! She would go home NOW if she could! Went to the GP myself - 'take paracetamol, drink lots, go home and sleep' !!!!!! so I said 'Yeah right ....'. MEN!!! Will keep you posted anyway! Maz. XX

Hi Maz Shame the Consultant is away at the moment but still Mum is being looked after even she would prefer her independence it may be for the best, with you feeling so unwell it should be a comfort that she is in the care of the Hospital. Hope you get better soon, take care. All the best Pat x
