HI EVERYONE I WAS BORN IN THE QUEEN MOTHERS HOSPITAL LIVED IN LAWRENCE STREET, PARTICK GLASGOW TILL I WAS 2 AND A HALF, DONT REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THEN MOVED TO CUMBERNAULD JUST OUTSIDE GLASGOW, BEEN HERE EVER SINCE. GILLIAN

My mum is English but has lived in Glasgow since march 17th 1947 and she married a Scottish Soldier and she still lives up there

Aww Christine,,, the Granny that lived in your street was actually born in Newmains.. LOL Her mother was from there and went home to her mums to give birth but then her mothers line were originally from Fife and her dads line were originally from Nairn so who knows maybe I am linked to just about everyone.... LOL Shaz x

Eileen I have sent you a message :-) Christine.... LOL.... No hen my Granny that lived up your street is my mums mum. She did live in Ladyloan but she is back in Townhead Glasgow now.. just off Duke Street. Its my Dads mum who was from Gourock originally but she has been dead for the last ten years :-( Shaz xx

Yes I am a Scot and so is my man!! I'm from Glasgow and he is from Stirling but we are both living in England just now (although I moved down as a child coz of dads work) but we will be back!! I go up the road as often as I can and am suffering coz I havent been up for 5 weeks now!!!!! Eileen... My Granny was born in Gourock :-) Hiya Anna, Jill, Sue.... my my its just great to hear from all you scots, myself i was born in methven moved to fintry and moved to ayr when i was seven been here since love the place i was born and brought up in farming and worked on the farm, but married a towny and left the country life for the town, my heart is still in the country life just love animals and working with them is great they wont let you down, thanks again everyone, my real name is sandy.

My grandmother is Scottish and she is from Inverness. All my Scottish ancestors are from Inverness and Ross. I live in Angus, on the north-east coast of Scotland. Lucia :-)
