I agree that paedophilia is vile but, here is a contentious one,I also think we have a strange atitude to children that makes their evil pursuit a lot easier for them.I so often see children being completely ignored in public by their parents,no attention, which they so evidently need in a strange place, and which they are trying to attract to the annoyance of others. If I,who really has no interest in them other than that they are disturbing my peace, notice this then surely some predatory piece of filth will as well. The one thing that paedophiles will give in abundance is attention. Whatever we think of them, they are hanging about, surely we should be doing more to protect children from them as well as discussing what to do once they are caught.

As someone who writes to a long term prisoner in solitary confinement, he has been in solitary for the last 20+ years, I felt I must add to this subject. The person I write to is not guilty of the abuse of children (he suffered enough of that as a child), however he is guilty of permanently removing some of those who did commit abuse. Whilst no-one would agree that this should not go unpunished, I find it difficult to reconcile the conditions that he is held in as compared to those conditions and lengths of sentences imposed on the likes of Glitter and King. Admittedly they did not kill anyone, however the abuse itself will feel like a life sentence to their victims.

All paedos should be tattoed on the forehead, so we know who they are. Not all parents ignore their children, I never have. Victims of abuse never recover, they are mentally scared for life, so why should these monsters be allowed to walk free and live a normal live. They are a danger and should be put to death and before someone cries me down for this, only have a go at me if you know exactly how it feels to be a victim. Don't make comments on what you would do if one of your family WAS a victim, don't make judgements about how it feels to be a victim, only victims know how it truly feels. M.

I wonder if Sarah Maclean would feel the same way if it was one of her children that he had abused. this Vile Pervert and his Bum Chum Jonathon king should never see the light of day the same as all CHILD MOLESTERS. Tina

Tina I was just reading through all the replies, and was just getting to the end and thought I would reply, and then saw your reply. It is exactly what I was going to ask Sarah What if it was one of her children? I think they are sick and should be locked up for ever in a dungeon until they rot, no they shouldnt be hanged as they wouldnt suffer for long. They need to suffer for a long long time.

Sarah Report 4 Apr 2005 18:28

I know from experience the damage caused by a sexual pervert - but I choose to let the law deal with it rather than lower myself to his level. If I were to have taken up the offers from members of my family to 'deal' with things, I would be no better than the culprit, and I pride myself on being a better person. I'm sorry if you think that having some moral standards makes me worthy of your derision.

Tina

Tina Report 4 Apr 2005 18:42

Sarah, i dont wish to get into an argument with you so this will be my last word on the subject, while you are taking pride in your morals the pervert that you know of is more than likely putting some one elses child through the truma of abuse and if you think that your moral standards are higher than mine then we will have to agree to dissagree. Tina

Michelle Report 4 Apr 2005 18:51

Thanks you lot. Sarah, I have moral standards, to know the difference between good and evil, to know the difference between right and wrong. But, if you truly knew how it felt to be a survivor of abuse, you would not be able to be so forgiving, no matter how high your moral standards. Tell me the truth would you like a paedo living close to you? Yes death is too good for these people, so sorry if I offend anyone, but why are innocent animals experimented on for the good of others, eg. cures for illnesses, etc. Experiment on paedos, then they will be giving something back to society. M.

Gwynne, I totally agree with you - our legal system is rather like a torn mosquito net!!!! The government talks of sectioning for ilfe people with certain mental illnesses 'In case they hurt someone', and a paedophile gets 4 months!! Isn't that about the same as you get if you haven't paid your TV license, and are too poor to pay the fine???? The law in this country thinks more of revenue than people!! maggie

Michelle

Michelle Report 4 Apr 2005 18:54

Gillie, I may have read your message wrongly, but I can assure you any action I take is always legal and would you be happy if a paedo came to live in your street?

Sarah

Sarah Report 4 Apr 2005 19:04

Morffydd - I didn't once say I forgive! This isn't about forgiveness, this is about justice and the law. I do, however, refuse to live out the rest of my life as a victim. I personally believe that he will get his just desserts - what goes around comes around, if not in this life then in the next. I won't lower myself to his standard by making up my own rules.

Michelle

Michelle Report 4 Apr 2005 19:08

You think they abide by these conditions, no way. Read my last message I do everything legally, not take the law into my own hands. They should not be let out, they should remain locked up, they cannot be cured and will remain a danger for the rest of their lives. Paedos ruin lives, not just the survivors, but the rest of the family's too. M.

Michelle

Michelle Report 4 Apr 2005 19:14

Sarah I don't live my life as a victim, I live it as a survivor, there is a difference. M.

Michelle

Michelle Report 4 Apr 2005 19:16

Same here Gillie, we will never agree on this one and I may end up offending you and I don't want to do that, as I don't know you. So I think I had better bow out of this one now. M.

I know everyone has their own opinions, which is good, as if we all had the same it would be very boring. This is the first time that I have come across anyone saying that a paedophille has served his time, and should be allowed to live normaly. I am sorry but that is the crapiest opinion ever. I just cant believe anyone could have this opinion at all. You carry on but you will get knocked down for your opinion. that is my opinion anyway.
