Thanks to those that came - to those that didn't - next time hopefully!

Thanks to everyone that came – a great if noisy day! It was lovely to meet new faces – and nearly as nice having to put up with the old ones! LOL Having avoided Easter we clashed with the Grand National and had to suspend the drawing of the raffle while we all had our ears blasted with the sound of galloping hooves! – a VERY noisy time but we got our own back by upping up our volume too! Thanks to everyone for the beautiful flowers- much appreciated but undeserved – all my ‘organisation’ consisted of was warning the pub we were coming! The landlady has said ‘any time’ so we couldn’t have been that bad! Thanks for the huge number of raffle prizes that were donated. Sale of tickets for Pinks Fund kept a smile on Susie the Bucket Monkey’s face. By devious means and Annie Yeoman’s sleight of hand Pink’s ‘mystery prize’ was drawn and she was ‘thrilled’ to win her Arsenal shirt. I wish I had had my video camera – the moment was priceless and the words ‘I love Arsenal’ had to be wrenched from her until it was loud enough for us all to hear it! LOL – any video of THAT tortured moment would have made a mint! I have a full list of raffle prize winners if anyone would like it. I would like to point out that Pinks prize was the only one we ‘fiddled’ – the fact that Dawn drew her own ticket was completely coincidental! Numbers were draw for Mandy, Anne from Glos., BJ and Speedy after they had left for home – so please let me have your addresses if that’s ok and I will get your prizes to you. – thanks. Having seen the photos posted so far, I have to say I didn't realise the Big Pink Teddy was gonna be THAT big!!! LMHO Glad you all enjoyed it. CB >|<

hi mags thanks for a great day i had my doubts about coming for personal reasons but all turned out well the welcome i had from you as when i came thriugh the door made me feel at ease then things got better and the day turn out to be very enjoyable and the thanks again howard

Howard - you are very very welcome! I am so pleased that you did decide to come. I only hope some of the behaviour of the 'lesser' members of our group didn't put you off coming to another one! LOL I have related the story of you selling your raffle tickets to anyone who will listen! Such a funny story but better when you told it. I am glad you were made to feel at your ease - we're not a bad bunch are we? I remember my first 'meet' and how terrifying that was so I appreciate it was quite a step for you and the other 'newbies' - more so for you in a way because of the personal circumstance you describe....but you did it and survived! - So no stopping you now eh?
