Nothing can beat a Rough Collie, they are great. LASSIE for those who don't know. PLEASE don't speak of cats - very sore point - letter from planning dept re: next door but one, want to open up a Cattery in their back Garden [in a residential area, only 1 mile from the centre of town!]

I have two adorable Löwchen dogs but, like Sleepy Jo, I really love the Rough Collie. We had one several years ago but circumstances now call for a smaller breed.

Susie, I know we are objecting and I expect our neighbours both sides will, and I hope the people over the back will, as also proposed is parking for visitors in the back garden, that would mean having to drive down a narrow lane and remove the back wall. Only the houses behind have access, not our road. Going down to see the plans later in the week. I don't mind cats but we have two regular foxes in our gardens and I dread to think of the noise at night. Shame I can't put a thread on here and show it to the council, but we all live in different areas. Josie

Sleepy Jo, Have you thought of going round with a petition and taking that to the council. I love my cats but they can be noisy and there are only 4 of them so god knows what a cattery would sound like. I know from experience that the planning department will take notice of a petition if you get enough signatures. Good luck Julie xxx
