Well done Jenny! Just wish I could have been there too! For anyone interested, Jenny and I are meeting up with anyone else who wants to join us when i come up 'yem' for the Tall Ships Race. Saturday July 23rd is good for me but I can change that if it's no good for others. Karen are you up for it? I'll be staying in North Shields so Tynemooth sounds good to me, but I'm flexible. Ann Toenail made contact with somebody's heel boarding the metro and was torn halfway across the nail bed but Jan had a plaster in her Mary Poppins bag and taped me up to make sure I didn't rip it further. Jan Husband tried to tape it up again when I got home but it looked so funny like something out of a cartoon strip. Eventually (when I stopped PMSL) I gently removed the offending chunk so now I have half a toenail but fear not; I am 'ard as nails and it will grow again by summer if you want to arrange something for then. When we have a date I can check with little bro and see whether he will be at home or gallivanting elsewhere as I might be able to doss at his place. Love Beth :)

Gaynor Bear to Jean in Washington. We got lost picking up Pink and Grandpa Jim from Cramlington. Turned out that the two hotels they were staying at where out in the sticks. Only 40 minutes late. Poor Jean and hubby, waited so patiently for us to arrive. Great to meet Jean, a lovely bubbly lady. Oh did we have a laugh. got some video coverage and a few photos. The Angel of the North is very impressive. We have only ever seen it from the A1. Well worth going right up to it. Took a photo with Grandpa Jims camera, of him spread across the botton half of TAOTN. We then officially handed over Gaynor Bear. Who is now well covered, she has some nickers on, with two spare pairs. Me, hubby, Pink and Grandpa Jim then went back to Tynemouth for a couple of pints, which turned into five or six. Then decided to go for an Indian meal, which just about finished us all off. We were all absolutley shattered after a brill weekend. must go to bed now. Jenny xx.
