Met briefly in July 1955 ,then I went on holiday. Met again end Sept, & we started to go out,got engaged seven months later at easter 1956 & married 3rd August 1957. We still together and are each others Best Friend. Looking forward to our Golden in 2007. Shirley

Hi Sandra, I met my `beloved` in March 1969 and got engaged 6 weeks later. We married in July 1969 as he was in the army in Germany and we wanted to be together....ah. 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren later we are still together. Love and Peace Marianne. xxxx

Met on holiday in Morocco on 30 September. Engaged on 11 December. Married on 16 April following year that was 23 years ago. Still wonder why I just didn't bring one of those cheap curios home, like everyone else.

Hi Sandra - I was friends with my Hubby for about 1 year, then we 'got together' and moved in together about 2 months later! We only got married last May - after 7 years together! Always did things back to front lol! K

Hiya Sandra Met him a week before my 18th birthday, got engaged a year later on my 19th birthday, and married 15 months later when I was 20 (he was 23). It will be our 21st wedding anniversary next month and Jordan will be 17 in October. Mandy :)

I met Dean on Friday and he unpacked his suitcase a few weeks later lol. I would never have dreamed of letting anything happen so quick before I met him. I guess if something is meant to be you just know! After a very tough first year (him going through a divorce, changing jobs and my mum's death) we are still happy - most of the time lol Jack x

We met in the April, engaged in the June and married in the November. A lot of my mum's busybody friends thought it was a shotgun wedding. But thirty one years later it's still just the two of us !

Four years, met and started 'going out' when I was two months under 16 and still at school, he was a month short of 18 and in the RN, got engaged when I was 18 and married when i was 20 (had to have parental permission under 21 then). That was 1960, still happily together. Ann Glos

Pierre and i met in a way that you think only happens in films and there was an instant attraction but we stayed friends for 9 months then finally got together and 3 months laer moved in together and we are getting married next year!! Can't wait to go shopping for my dress hee hee Claire x
