Thongs are dangerous......discuss!!! From the Daily Mail today, Thongs are dangerous to health because they can cause infections etc. And apparently they are also very uncomfortable to wear. I wouldn't know!! Ann Glos

Why would you want a bit of string in your bum anyway?

Ann, Being well past the age of wanting to wear such contraptions, I can see that they could potentially be extremely uncomfortable, not to mention very draughty! CB >|<

Mandy

Mandy Report 2 Jun 2005 16:33

I find normal pants riding up uncomfortable enough without having to cope with a cheese string........ to twist the words of Jim on the Royal Family............... If I pay a quid for a pair of undies why would I want 50 pence worth up my ***............? LOL Mandy

Mags Report 2 Jun 2005 16:33

I wouldn.t know the rear end is far to big to contemplate going there. Like BIG KNICKS that cover the multitude of sins ,altho havent reach the long legged bloomers yet that MUM used to wear. Shirley

I have to say I think that thong bikinis are extremely ugly on most females. Not many people have the shapely rear that is required. And sometimes with very tight trousers you may not have a VPL but you can actually see that the person is wearing a thong. I also dislike the habit of the strings showing above low cut jeans (OK OK I know I am old fashioned!!!) Infections are caused not by not washing them but by bacteria forming because they are tight, how shall I put it - up the b** and sweaty. this is not my personal view but a doctor's. Ann Glos

Stephanie Report 2 Jun 2005 16:42

i always wear thongs during the day/going out, but when im at home i like to slump about in a vest top and knickers! they are more comfy to wear (well when your not wearing trousers anyway!)xx

Claire

Claire Report 2 Jun 2005 16:44

Of course I see the principle of them getting er....sweaty up there. I suppose it is a valid point but can't the same be applied to sweaty pants that creep up your bum? Seriously, I'm interested in the satistics as it seems everything we do these days is bad for your health! (actually, I also hate seeing thongs above trousers, but that is because I haven't got the 16 yr old figure to wear hipsters! ;o) Claire xx

¨*:·.Susiebabes.·:*¨ Report 2 Jun 2005 16:45

Truth is probably...... There are some peeps out there in the big wide world that would like to think they are smaller than they actually are !!Hence they buy a smaller sized thong than they should it is too tight it starts to lodge itself in the undesired places like the backside!! and the baby exit the natural way(if you get my drift!!) so it is not hygienic that the fact it will quite happily lodge itself there allday longgggggggg it would obviously cause some sort of yeast infection not good in that way!! If the correct size was purchased then there would probably be no problem whatsoever!! I only wear thongs and have done so for the past 13 years and would probably keep wearing them in my golden years!! Susie xx

I like thongs. Personally, them make me feel more sexy and feminine. But I also have an array of other types of 'bottoms'! Becx
