My other half works in Africa (engineering) and was chatting to a couple of Germans who remarked that most of the ex pats over there were Aries and asked what star sign he is............ Aries.......... So a question for anyone who is in the know about Astrology......... is there some characteristic attributed to Aries that could explain this? Or are parts of the world influenced by different star signs? I wonder if this relates to proffessions etc. Do nurses tend to all have their birthdays around the same time for instance! I just found it a strange coincidence. Mandy |

I have lots of Aries people in my family, including husband, uncle and brother, plus various friends. I have never thought that they shared any traits, just that more people are born in April because they are conceived in July when their parents are on holiday! nell |

Hi Nell Don't you see any similarites? My sisters and I have gone for Aries men (me twice and they even have same birthday .............. will I never learn LOL) Although they are all different in some ways, they share several common traits................. but there again sometimes it's difficult to tell if they are being Arians or just men!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Mandy :) |

Hi Mandy...Because Aries is a Fire sign and one of the first signs of the Zodiac, they are ambitious, fearless, pushy, and adventurous, rather like a toddler. They rush where angels fear to tread, etc. This is my humble opinion, anyway! Africa? dont really know! LOL XX BC |

Mandy, When you say he is 'an Aries', you are merely talking about the Sun Sign under which he was born. There are many combinations of aspects and chart placements which could make someone go and work abroad. The sign Sagittarius is the one most often associated with long-distance travel and a liking for adventure. Like Aries, it is a Fire Sign, and shares its pioneering spirit. Depending on the time of an individual's birth, any one of the twelve signs could be on the Ascendant (rising), and the Rising Sign can make a significant difference to the behaviour of any individual, unless it happens to be the same as their Sun Sign, in which case it reinforces the characteristics traditionally associated with the sign. Another possibility that would result in someone working abroad is having many planets in the 9th House of their Birth Chart. The 9th House is traditionally associated with Sagittarius and encompasses long-distance travel (both physically and of the mind) and dealings with foreign people. The planet Mars in the 9th House in Sagittarius would be typical of the person you describe. That would, probably, make his Ascending Sign Aries. Astrology is far more complex than what is shown in the popular press. If you want to know more, Google 'Astrodienst' and take it from there. CB >|< (Astrologer since 1965) |

Flaming computer keeps crashing and taking ages to reboot....... BC I think he would like to be pushy but realised early on that he had met the immovable object!!!!!!!! Ambitious and adventurous when I tell him to be.......... he needs a push! He is quite brave, don't know about fearless though he has done the odd thing to help others without thinking that could have put him in danger. Toddler?............. well he is a man!!! LOL Mandy |

CB I have had my chart done but not his............. but I could agree and say there are signs of Sagittarius. But it seems strange that they find that most of the ex pats appear to be Arians regardless of nationality, age etc. Dawn Of my two grown up children the oldest (son) is Cancer, my youngest (daughter) is Sagittarian I am a broken woman........... LOL Mandy |
