Hi elaine. i'm so sorry Lianne failed but I'm not surprised with all the stress she's had over the last couple of days. She was a brave girl taking it at all! I hope she gets straight back in the car and tries again as soon as she can Glad to hear Ash is still doing well Sarah xxx

yep ...she's balling her eye's out. Unbelievable really. Apparently, they had approached traffic lights which had gone to green as she approached. As she continued on her way SHE saw the car speeding from her left and braked accordingly ... along with several other car's. It was this sudden braking that alerted the examiner to the problem, to which he then reacted by slamming the brakes on as well. Apart from this instant fail, she came away with 4 minor's, and its for this reason that she is gutted. Her instructor has protested to the examiner for the circumstances, but to no avail. She is one of his best learners (so he tells her) ... and she has driven me around for quite a while now, and I know she is a safe driver. But its what happens on the day that counts. She is gutted cos she knows that without that other idiot on the road, she WOULD have passed ... and Ash can come out of hospital ... and she wanted to go and collect him - now he is making alternative arrangements ! ... and Mum is again picking up the pieces ! Unfortunately, Lianne is unemployed - due to start college on Monday next ... so is without an income for at least another two weeks ... and then only gets £40 per week ... she can't afford to have any more lessons yet (not that she needs them) and certainly can't afford the £42 for resit plus £40 for instructors lesson and time again.... and get herself to college ... and afford the insurance on her car for much longer. Oh dear .... the trials of being 18 ! Dancer x

Lianne, all the best drivers pass their tests 2nd time round! My problem was clutch control (oouch!), which luckily I mastered - just - before my 2nd test. Good luck for next time - and make sure you take it again! I'm counting on Mum making you! Glenys x
