Just come on here and seen your post Jenny. I thought I was the only one! It seems not though. :o) All my (grown up) kids and their spouses and my 12 year old grandaughter rave about them. Even my husband has read them all (apart from the new one), and, in the 41 years I've known him, he's NEVER read an entire book apart from Harry Potter! I've not seen the films either (or Lord of the Rings). Seems I'm not as unusual as I thought I was! LOL Will get round to reading them someday I suppose. Sue xx

I haven't really gone out of my way to read any of the HP books, I did take my neice to see a couple of the films though, she was, as they say was spellbound! I wish I had written them though, I have the same initials as the authour, I wish I had the same money! Jak

Me? No to HP....sauce?!! Lord of the Rings - I went with friend who was made up with film, I was bored to death and couldn't wait for it to end! I definitely prefer real life stories that I can understand! Lily

Can I ask for a 'reason'????? If you've not read them.........how can you comment? for 1. And hype.............I agree.............but read the books rather than watch the films.................. Isn't it the same with every movie????????? They cover a quarter of the book...........!!!! Please read them........they're very good!! Much more info in them than the films! Get reading people...even if you think you will not like it!!!! It's a kids book.......what's all the fuss about??? READ.......please!!!!!!!!!! Rather than watch!!!!!!!!! Stel.xx

I went with young grandson and his mum to buy the new book, tonight. I felt a bit of a fraud really because I too have never read any of the books.

Oh Anna that's a lovely image! I just love it when children read and tucking them up when they've fallen asleep reading is so sweet. Ellie still has a couple of the earlier ones to read and our teenagers are both away so Chris and I will be fighting over this one - am going to hide it now! lol Daisy

I love them Jenny and have just been and collected mine. Gaynor Bear queued very nicely for hers, which I shall send to you for safe keeping. For anyone that doesn't know, Gaynor was a manic Harry Potter fan! I didn't really expect to like them when I first read them but became well and truly hooked. We took the fourth book on holiday with us 5 years ago and it had 4 book marks in it. As soon as one of us put it down another one of us picked it up! Daisy

Hi can I join the club - I haven't read or seen Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings or any of the star wars movies. I don't feel that I have missed out on anything, even though my young nieces and nephews are lined up this morning to get the latest copy. (3 mins to go until 9.00am when it will sold) judy

I've never read Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings and never seen the films all the way through. Not really my cup of tea. Viv
