My mother in law recently had an all singing and dancing boiler fitted in her flat for £1,500 notes. So, where is this £2,900 coming from. Whats this change in law then? And, why haven't seen it publicised on the telly? |

promise it is there Peter, Billy was doing full ch for £1700 inc vat, he,s totally legal and above board. however he has had to put up price because of legislation, and added cost of condensing boilers,to say nothing of courses he,s had to go on, dont worry, we are fully aware of everybodys ignorence on the issue, have to contend with it every day! As I said before if you are in doubt go onto corgi registered site, will find all info there |

I agree with your last reply, I,m from Wigan, just down the road, I,d say £1700 no more, I could get you a quote from the plumbers I know and have worked with, good, experienced and will definitely won,t rip you off Cliff |

i was only talking to a plumber the other day about combi boilers and how the new range are brill.he said theyve had a bad press cos theyve been fitted in houses where the water pressure wasnt strong enough. He was talking about fitting one in the next few weeks. Are you sure it isnt just a regulation for new build houses, rather than all houses, otherwise we'll end up with aboiler mountain, aswell as a fridge mountain, lol . |

Alter ego is right Sandra, the law only applies to new houses being built. Take no notice of them guys good luck! |

We had a condensing boiler fitted at work 4 or 5 years ago and the reliability has been awful. Too many things to go wrong! |

As most people may know i had loads of problems with a plummer with my previous boiler which resulted in me having to have a new one , a condensing boiler instaled in April 2005 , ok i may have payed over the top for it just one teething problem with it but i have been happy with it since then, lovely heat from the raditors and piping hot water , Good luck Sandra |
